KEEPING YOUR BABY SAFE
In a recent survey 3,033 parents were asked about their experiences using car seats:
Parents said their baby’s head has flopped forward in a car seat
Parents were concerned if their baby's head flopped forward while travelling
Said when their baby was new-born that they did not fit nicely into their car seat
Parents had not heard of the ‘Two Hour’ rule
YOU MAY NOT KNOW…
When a baby is in a car seat and their head flops forward, air-flow to the lungs can be restricted.
This can cause oxygen levels in the blood to fall and potentially lead to oxygen desaturation.
Medical research suggests that even a 40 degree angle can cause breathing issues.
However, most car seat manufacturers make car seats with at least a 45 degree angle.
